Rehabilitation in functional sterility
Functional sterility is a very common problem in pelvic floor dysfunction nowadays. In particular, imbalance in the musculature of the cervical and lumbar spine is taken as the main cause, leading to a weakening of the pelvic floor musculature within the viscovertebral relationships. This weakening causes a loss of its function and thus reduces the ability to conceive.
As part of the diagnosis of functional sterility, a specialist doctor - gynaecologist will thoroughly examine the problem and, based on the results of the examination, recommend an individual treatment procedure with follow-up rehabilitation. During the treatment, the patient is checked by the doctor at regular time intervals.
In the treatment of functional sterility, we mainly use procedures according to the methodology of Ludmila Mojžišová, whose physiotherapeutic concept is aimed exclusively at the treatment of functional sterility and strengthening the function of the pelvic floor muscles. These are mainly manual mobilisation techniques in conjunction with specific exercises that target the neuromuscular apparatus of the pelvic floor through the autonomic nervous system, which acts on the female genital organs and improves their blood supply.
